Editorial Policy
Short version: rankings are supposed to follow fit, evidence, caveats, and reader usefulness. Money links are attached after the review logic, not before it.
Scoring
Scores weigh support, comfort, cooling, durability, value, policy, and complaint risk.
Samples
Retail purchases are preferred. Brand samples can be accepted only without review control.
Links
Affiliate availability does not guarantee a good score, list placement, or a kinder caveat.
Editorial Rules
| Area | Rule |
| Rankings | Rankings should be based on fit, measured or documented behavior, category context, return risk, and common complaints. |
| Product pages | A review should name the pillow, link the pillow page, state the fit case, and say the main reason not to buy it. |
| Affiliate links | Buy links may earn commission. Commission rate does not decide score order. |
| Brand samples | A brand can supply a product, spec sheet, or correction. The brand does not get approval or veto power. |
| Sponsored work | Sponsored measurement or queue-priority work must be labeled and cannot buy wording, score, or rank. |
| Corrections | Factual corrections need a specific claim, source, and date. See the corrections policy. |
| Health claims | Medical, orthopedic, pain, allergy, and therapeutic claims are handled cautiously and should point readers to clinicians when symptoms persist. |
What Can Move A Score
- New retail measurements that change loft, heat, recovery, wash, or support rows.
- Updated product construction, fill, size, cover, warranty, return policy, or price.
- Repeated owner complaints that show up after longer use.
- Better category alternatives that make an older recommendation less useful.
What Cannot Buy A Score
- Affiliate rate, ad spend, coupon access, sample supply, sponsorship, donation, or public-relations pressure.
- Threats to pull links, stop sending samples, or complain about ranking language.
- Private praise, badge requests, quote requests, or "just checking before you publish" review approval.
